Blogger Lerchek (real name is Valery Chekalin) was spotted at a fitness club in Moscow. A client of the gym named Alina posted footage on social media, which caught the blogger. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The incident with Lercek at the fitness club

On Wednesday, April 29, Alina filmed Chekalina in the locker room and posted the footage on a social network, comparing them with the blogger's statements about the disease.

"I took a picture of her without her face, it was from the back. I saw Lercek at the gym — she was coming out after a workout and drinking protein, in a completely normal state. And in her blog, she indicated that she had left for a chemotherapy procedure a few hours ago," she told Izvestia on May 5.

A few days later, the club's management unilaterally terminated the contract with the visitor for violating internal rules. Alina stressed that the fitness club refused to comment on the situation, saying that the management was on vacation, but after returning to the building, she saw the management in place.

The girl tried to challenge the decision, claiming that she had photographed in a public place and had not captured the face of another member of the club. However, the administration of the fitness center considered Alina's actions illegal.

Lercek's health status

Chekalina was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer. She is undergoing combination therapy at the Blokhin National Medical Oncology Research Center. According to the blogger, she will undergo nine stages of treatment, including chemotherapy and immune therapy.

In a video message from the hospital, Lercek noted that she had already covered almost half of the planned path. She stressed the importance of a positive attitude that helps the body cope with stress and absorb nutrients, despite the severity of the procedures.

"Today I have the fourth chemistry out of nine. This means that almost half of the way is done. I'm not going to be a hero and say that I always feel good and perfect. In those moments when I feel bad, I try to focus on the fact that, Lera, you feel good: all the food stays inside you, saturates you with vitamins, minerals, proteins, and you get stronger day by day," the blogger shared.

Lercek also shared that she was guided by her doctor's advice that an inner attitude can seriously affect both the results of treatment and life expectancy. According to the blogger, when she feels better, she immediately returns to her usual activity, trying to feel alive, needed and included in life.

"And I want to live a very long time to see my children grow up. I want to become a grandmother, to be so old with a wand. I really want to reach that age. I believe in it," Chekalina stressed.

Restoration of Lerchek and a trip to nature

Chekalina's fiance Luis Squicciarini and photographer Georgy Kamaev actively support her during her hospitalization. According to relatives, the patient's body steadfastly withstands medical intervention, which allows her to find the strength to communicate with children and short trips to nature.

"Thank God, Lera's body steadfastly withstands all the treatment, and in short but bright flashes she gets energy for an active life, playing with children, walking, socializing. But the rest of the time she sleeps during the day — that's how our whole trip out of town went," Kamaev shared.

The photographer emphasized that outdoor recreation benefited the whole family, as the fresh air, sun, communication and calm atmosphere helped to restore strength and distract from the hard everyday life associated with treatment.

Launching the Lercek brand and returning to sports

In addition to the main treatment, Chekalina is undergoing rehabilitation after previous spinal surgery and radiation therapy. Doctors allowed her moderate physical activity, so the blogger began taking swimming and dancing classes to gradually regain activity.

In parallel with his treatment, Lercek continues to pay a lot of attention to his work. Recently, the blogger launched her own cosmetics brand Eyya skin. In the commercial, she presented the brand without a wig as a sign of support for women with a similar diagnosis.
