Colorado defeated Minnesota in the Stanley Cup match

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-2 on home ice in the second match of the second round of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs. The meeting took place on May 5th.

Martin Necas scored goals for the winners in the 3rd minute, Gabriel Landeskug (9th), Nicolas Roy (22nd) and Nathan MacKinnon (54th). The final point in the match was set by Russian striker Valery Nichushkin, who hit the opponent's goal in the 60th minute of the match. Kirill Kaprizov (3rd) and Markus Johansson (55th) scored goals for the visitors.

For Nichushkin, this goal was the first in the current playoff draw. In total, the Russian forward has three points (one goal and two assists) in six matches of the tournament. Minnesota striker Kirill Kaprizov has brought the number of his goals in the current Stanley Cup to three. Danila Yurov also scored an assist for the losing team.

The score in the series to four wins was 2-0 in favor of Colorado. The third match of the confrontation will take place at the home arena of Minnesota on the night of Sunday, May 10, Moscow time.
