The Immortal Regiment campaign and the Victory Day festival will be held in the UK on Saturday, May 9th. This was announced on May 6 by the organizers of the event, Vadim Aleksin and Anton Naydenov.

The festive program will begin with a car rally, which starts on the western outskirts of London. The convoy of cars will head towards Cambridge. In total, columns from 17 regions of Britain will gather at the festival venue. The main venue will host a live music concert and the Immortal Regiment campaign.

"There will be a stage, live music, a playground with entertainment and games, a dormitory town where people can stay overnight with tents, an exhibition of weapons exhibits — deactivated, but there will be weapons. There will be people in military uniforms, in the clothes of the Immortal Regiment," Aleksin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It is expected that up to 2 thousand people will take part in the event. The festival is being organized in this format for the first time in several years.

According to the organizers, the British authorities are not preventing the event from taking place. At the same time, Aleksin said that participants regularly receive threats from citizens of Ukraine on social networks.

"They are trying to intimidate people on social media, saying that they will stand along the roads and stone windshields. They threaten in this way every year," Aleksin said.
