Moscow has not received any requests from Tokyo regarding the organization of a meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries within the framework of international events. The corresponding statement was made on Wednesday, April 6, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"Of course, if we receive such an appeal, it will be properly considered," Zakharova said in an interview with RBC.
The diplomat stressed that currently the comments of the Russian side on holding negotiations "on the sidelines" of international summits are meaningless.
