Ex-colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Ivan Shnyr deserted with money stolen from soldiers, as well as stolen funds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on May 5 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"Deputy of the [Verkhovna] Rada Mariana Bezuglaya confirmed the information about the flight of the commander of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ivan Shnyr, who was removed from his post after the liberation of the village of Veterinary by the North group.
