Scientist Ingrid Honkala, who worked for NASA and the US Navy, said on May 5 that she had experienced death three times and faced the same condition each time.

According to Honkala, the first such case happened to her at the age of two, when she fell into a tank with icy water. Instead of fear, the girl felt "peace and silence." She claims that at that moment she was floating above the world and saw her mother, who was a few blocks from home on her way to work.

"Instead of fear, I was overcome by a deep calmness. The panic disappeared, and it was replaced by an overwhelming sense of peace and silence. It felt like my mind had separated from my body. My next memories are not related to the physical world, but to an expanded state of awareness," she said in an interview with The Mirror.

The American experienced similar feelings again at the age of 25, when she was in a car accident, and also at the age of 52 during surgery due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. The scientist noted that the so-called otherworld is actually a different space.

"It was like diving into a deeper layer of reality that exists beyond our physical senses," the scientist shared.

She added that she had seen so-called "Beings of Light" who communicated with her without the help of speech. Honkala stressed that it was her experience that pushed her to build a career in the scientific field.

The BBC reported on February 12 that Patrick Chernley, a British resident, suffered a 40-minute cardiac arrest and survived, but is still struggling with the consequences. After waking up from a coma, Chernli became blind, later partially regaining his sight.
