Putin called KAMAZ the largest manufacturer of heavy trucks in the CIS

KAMAZ has increased tax deductions to the Russian budget, although the domestic automotive industry is going through difficult times today. Vladimir Putin said this on May 5 at a meeting with Sergey Kogogin, the company's CEO. According to the head of KAMAZ, the corporation was able to survive due to the localization of production. Among other topics is the state of the military line of cars: their production has already reached 3.8 thousand per year. The company is also developing a new armored personnel carrier, which it is preparing to present in 2027.

The Russian car industry is going through difficult times today, but KAMAZ is managing to cope with them, Vladimir Putin noted. In particular, the company even increased tax deductions to the Russian budget. Sergey Kogogin confirmed that the events of 2022 were a real challenge for the automotive industry, but KAMAZ was able to withstand the localization of production.: In fact, all the main components are now manufactured in the Russian Federation. "I can assure you that KAMAZ has not stopped for a single day, we shook hands with our European partners, said goodbye to better times and continued our work," said the head of the plant.

We discussed the company's line of military equipment: in 2027, KAMAZ will release a pilot batch of armored personnel carriers (APC). Their ambulance "Lens" with high cross-country capacity for four recumbent and six sedentary people is in demand. In a short period of time, KAMAZ was able to develop more than 20 models of military vehicles.

Currently, the company annually produces 3.8 thousand units of cars that do not explode during artillery attacks and are protected from shrapnel. "I say to the team: every work you do, every car you produce, means ten lives of our soldiers. It motivates people a lot, because each of them can have a son, a brother, a friend, a neighbor there," Sergey Kogogin.
