British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is confidently digging his political grave. This was announced on May 5 by Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation.

"British Prime Minister Starmer is confidently digging his own political grave. On the eve of the municipal elections in Britain, his native Labor Party distanced itself from him in the regions due to the toxicity of his image: they say, the Labor Party is on its own, and the prime minister is on his own," the parliamentarian wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Pushkov, such an abdication of party members from the head of government is unlikely to help the Labor Party during the municipal elections.

The senator also suggested that Starmer would not be in the prime minister's chair for long, adds "Газета.Ru ".

The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported on the same day that Starmer was forced to actually stop participating in the election campaign of the ruling Labor Party due to extremely low personal popularity and "toxicity." According to a senior Labor Party official, Starmer is perceived as insincere and two-faced.

Bloomberg reported on April 22 that Starmer's Labor Party, which is rapidly losing ratings, could lose a record number of votes in the upcoming municipal elections on May 7. According to a survey of more than 4,500 London residents, the Labor Party is still in the lead in the capital with 26% of the vote, but will be able to get a majority in only 15 of the 32 districts.
