Air defense systems shot down 88 Ukrainian UAVs over the regions of Russia in five hours.

Air defense systems intercepted 88 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in five hours over the regions of Russia. This was announced on May 5 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the Maks messenger.

It is noted that in the period from 9:00 Moscow time to 14:00 Moscow time, aircraft-type drones were eliminated by air defense systems on duty.

According to the agency, enemy drones were destroyed in the skies over Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, as well as Rostov, Smolensk, Tver, Tula regions. In addition, UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea and the Chuvash Republic.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry noted that the air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 43 Ukrainian UAVs over the territories of Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Smolensk, Tula, Volgograd and Voronezh regions within two hours. Attacks were also thwarted in the Republic of Adygea and the Moscow region.
