The FSB showed footage of the detention of a resident of the Kursk region for helping the GUR of Ukraine

On May 5, the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation published footage of the detention of a resident of Kursk on suspicion of treason in favor of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The man was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence to collect information about civilian and military infrastructure facilities. During the interrogation, the man admitted his guilt and said that a curator had contacted him on Telegram with an offer to earn money.

"A supervisor contacted me. Well, a man came out and said earn some money, take some photos," he said.

The suspect reported that, on the instructions of the curator, he photographed the objects of the DOSAAF of the Russian Federation. Later, he attracted acquaintances to this activity, who took pictures in a transformer booth. The man also spoke about the task of photographing a note calling for the soldiers to return home against the background of the military enlistment office.

According to the detainee, after completing the verification tasks, the supervisor suggested that he pick up a bookmark with a grenade to detonate an energy facility. The man claims that he refused to commit a terrorist attack, after which communication stopped.

Currently, a resident of Kursk is confessing. Law enforcement officers conduct investigative actions to establish all the circumstances of the crime and identify possible accomplices.

On the same day, it became known that a resident of the Kursk region was detained for cooperating with the military intelligence of Ukraine. Acting in the interests of the special services of Ukraine, the Russian recruited at least four residents of Kursk from among close contacts to collect and transmit information about military and civilian facilities in the region.
