The air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry destroyed one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that was flying in the direction of Moscow. This was announced on May 5 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense destroyed a UAV flying to Moscow," he wrote on the Maks messenger.

Sobyanin clarified that emergency services specialists are working at the crash site of the drone.

Thus, the number of drones shot down on the night of May 4-5 on approach to Moscow increased to 6.
