Footage of the situation at the scene of a fatal road accident in Leipzig has been published

Leipzig residents began bringing flowers and lighting candles at the scene of the fatal accident. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on May 5.

"Now everything is frozen here, except for the police cars, of course, from shock and horror. Flowers are already being brought there, candles are being lit," correspondent Vitaly Chashchukhin showed the situation from the scene.

The correspondent noted that in normal times this area is one of the busiest places in Leipzig.

A car crashed into a group of people at a bus stop in Leipzig on May 4. The driver drove into a crowd in the city center on Augustusplatz Square, near the intersection with Grimmaishestrasse, turning into a pedestrian zone. Shortly after, local police noted that the driver had been arrested. As a result of the incident, two people were killed and 20 others were injured. Later it became known that the driver is a German citizen.
