- Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces spoke about the use of ground–based robotic complexes "Krot-2"
Russian military personnel are actively using ground–based robotic complexes "Krot-2" in the area of a special military operation (SVO). This was announced on May 4 by Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.
Such drones are used, among other things, to bring provisions and water. The NRTC helps out especially strongly in cases where it is not possible to deliver the cargo on foot or by other means.
"We have the superiority, of course, in this technique. It works great in general. We drive 10 km in one direction, and 10 km we bring her "home," said the operator of the NRTK "Krot—2" regiment 1194 of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Roots.
UAVs are also used to monitor the equipment. They also help to detect attempts by enemy drones to strike at the NRTC delivering cargo. According to the Izvestia correspondent, one full charge of the Krot–2 is enough for 12 km of travel in one direction.
"We also use it for evacuation. It has a load capacity of 120 kg," said the driver with the call sign Snake.
Also on April 30, it was reported that Russian fighters began using a new control system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the line of combat contact in the Kursk region. The development of the Yakim detachment (BARS-Kursk brigade) allows operators to control aircraft-type attack UAVs at a distance of up to 70 km, effectively countering enemy electronic warfare (EW).
