AvtoVAZ went on a planned corporate vacation

AVTOVAZ employees have gone on a single corporate vacation, which will last from May 4 to May 13 inclusive. Personnel who will not participate in the modernization and repair of equipment, ensuring the ongoing activities of the manufacturer and new projects, will be sent to idle on May 14 and 15 with pay. This was announced by Sergey Zaitsev, chairman of the primary trade union organization of the enterprise, in an interview with Interfax.

AvtoVAZ will carry out a complex of works on modernization of production during the planned paid corporate vacation. In total, it is planned to carry out over 15 thousand works with a total capacity of 110 thousand people / days, the total budget for the May modernization will exceed 530 million rubles.

The list of works includes the installation of new equipment for the launch of production of the Lada Azimut crossover, modernization of the Niva family assembly line, repair and maintenance of main facilities and production systems. Engine production works will also be carried out, where new engines with a volume of 1.6 liters (more than 120 hp) and 1.8 liters (more than 130 hp) will be produced, equipment will be updated in the paint shops, welding, and car assembly complex.

As before, the days of a single corporate vacation are used to modernize the enterprise. This year, it was originally scheduled for May 4-8, July 27 to August 16, and December 29-30. However, in order to complete all the preparations for Azimut production planned for May, as well as in agreement with the trade union committee, it was decided to postpone two days of the December vacation to May 12-13.
