UAZ has passed the product quality control audit
Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) has passed a product quality control audit at the production stage. This was reported to Izvestia on May 4 by the company's press service.
The inspection was carried out from April 27 to April 30 by experts from the SATR‑FOUNDATION certification agency in accordance with the regulations of the Customs Union "On the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles" (TR CU 018/2011) and the vehicle type approval (OTT). The audit covered key divisions and production facilities.
"According to the results of the commission, it was confirmed that UAZ products comply with the design type approved in Russia and mandatory safety requirements. The production conditions and the control system make it possible to ensure stable quality and high performance," the company said.
As reported on April 28, 3,403 new UAZ vehicles were sold in Russia in January—March 2026, which is 31% less than in the same period last year. The largest sales volume in the first quarter came from the CGR family of commercial vehicles, popularly known as the "Loaf". Later, UAZ announced that it expects to increase car sales in the second half of this year. The company recalled that restyled cars should appear in dealerships in early autumn.
