Forecaster predicted a cold snap in Moscow by the end of the week

In Moscow, the temperature background will return to the climatic norm by the end of the week. At the same time, at the beginning of the week, the air temperature will still exceed the long-term average values by 3-4 degrees. This was reported to Izvestia on May 4 by Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency.

According to her, mostly favorable weather is expected in the capital region until Wednesday inclusive. Despite possible short-term local rains, the temperature background will remain high.

"On Tuesday night in Moscow, the thermometer will show +10...+12 degrees, and in the afternoon the air will warm up to +23 ... +25 degrees. On Wednesday, the night temperature will rise to +12...+14 degrees. Due to increased clouds, daytime temperatures will decrease slightly and reach +22...+24 degrees in the capital and up to +20...+25 degrees in the region," the forecaster said.

According to her, on May 7, weather conditions will begin to change. An atmospheric front will pass through the region, which will bring a cold snap. On Thursday night, the temperature will drop to +8...+10 degrees, and in the afternoon it will be +18 ...+20 degrees.

In the following days, on the 8th and 9th, short-term local rains are forecast in the Moscow region. The night temperature will stay in the range of +7...+12 degrees, daytime — from +15 to +20 degrees, concluded Pozdnyakova.

Marina Makarova, a leading employee of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said on May 2 that meteorological summer will begin in the Moscow region on May 26. As the meteorologist noted, this is most important for people working in the agricultural sector. At the same time, the weather conditions will allow all other Russians to feel the onset of the summer season.
