Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis said that representatives of the Czech authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged him to take a tough stance towards Russia and seek from Kazakhstan to reduce the level of cooperation with Russia and China. He made such a statement on May 2 on the TV Nova channel.

"They gave me a memo prepared by the Foreign Ministry, where they wrote that I should urge Kazakhstan to limit relations with Russia and China. It's amazing," Babish said.

The politician suggested that former Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky could have been involved in the preparation of the document.

Babis said on May 2 that he would meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the European Political Community summit in Yerevan. According to him, this meeting will be very important for him, but he refused to go to Kiev.
