In eight regions of the Russian Federation, the average pension of employees exceeded 30 thousand rubles.

In March 2026, the average pension among working Russians of over 30 thousand rubles was recorded in eight regions of the country. This became known on May 4 from the data of the Social Fund of Russia.

According to the agency, the highest average pension provision was recorded in a number of northern regions. In the Murmansk Region, it amounts to 30,726.13 rubles, in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug — 31,326.49 rubles, in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) — 31,366.47 rubles, in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — 32,557.99 rubles, RIA Novosti reports after reviewing the data.

The lowest average pension for working Russians in March was recorded in the Republic of Dagestan at 16,870 rubles, while the highest figure was recorded in Chukotka at 38,581 rubles.

Why is the average payout lower now and what could change the situation?

On May 3, the Social Fund provided statistics according to which the only region in Russia where the average pension provision is 42 thousand rubles is the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. It was noted that the average pension in this region is 42,015 rubles. At the same time, in other regions the pension amount does not exceed 40 thousand rubles.
