The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has withdrawn from the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC). This was announced on May 3 in a statement by the association of Arab manufacturers on the social network X.
"The [OAPEC] General Secretariat expresses appreciation for the role played by the United Arab Emirates throughout its membership and for their active contribution to supporting joint Arab actions in the oil, gas and energy sectors," the statement said.
