Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, at a meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gare Stere on May 3, requested gas supplies for Ukraine from him.

"Special attention was paid to energy support for Ukraine. He informed us about our needs, in particular, regarding natural gas for next winter. Ukraine must definitely enter it prepared," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also thanked the Norwegian Prime Minister for investing almost $1 billion in the program for the purchase of weapons from the United States and for his willingness to help on other issues.

Political scientist Ivan Mezyuho noted on April 27 that the energy crisis in the European Union is already growing, and the policy of US President Donald Trump is only exacerbating the crisis. According to him, there is no favorable scenario for the eurozone in which it could advocate an independent economic policy.
