In Kuzbass, all the workers of the flooded mines were brought to the surface. The last two employees of the Komsomolets mine have been lifted out of the workings, and all the miners are safe at the moment. This was reported on May 3 in the press service of the Kirov mine.

On May 1, workers at the Kirov mine were evacuated. Two Komsomolets employees remained underground to provide life support for the non-functioning enterprise and were withdrawn later. Coal mining at the Kirov mine has been suspended.

"The elimination of the consequences of flooding continues," the TASS press service reports.

According to the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the situation is under control. 45 units of special equipment were involved in the elimination of the consequences.

The cause of the incident was a sharp rise in the water level in the Inya River, which led to overflowing through a water barrier near the village of Baykaim. Water through the old workings of the 1940s got to the adjacent sections of the Kirov and Komsomolets mines.

On April 17, a slight excess of carbon dioxide levels occurred at the Taldinskoye-Kyrgyzskoye mine management in the Kemerovo region, and workers were evacuated. It was noted that at the time of the incident, 122 people were in the mine, who were evacuated to the surface.
