In the Tomsk region, in the village of Novoilinka in the Shegarsky district, a fire damaged 16 houses, the fire area was about 2.5 thousand square meters. m. This was announced on May 3 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Mazur.

"16 houses burned down in Novoilinka (5 of them are uninhabited). It was localized with the involvement of additional forces from Tomsk," he said in a post on the Telegram channel.

The governor added that firefighting continues in several areas of the region and additional response measures are being introduced. He stressed that a special fire protection regime is already in effect in the region, and in the near future it is planned to extend it to the entire territory of the region.

On May 2, the press service of the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a fire broke out in the village of Novoilinka in the Shegarsky district, during which the fire engulfed residential and non-residential buildings. It is specified that the fire started from an apartment building on Rabochaya Street, after which it spread to neighboring buildings.
