The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not consider Colombian mercenaries in their ranks
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) do not count the Colombian mercenaries fighting for them and do not provide information about their number, including the dead. This was reported on May 3 by a source connected with the Colombian recruitment market in Ukraine and the Middle East.
"No one from the Ukrainian side gives official data on the number of Colombians fighting at the front or dead," the source told RIA Novosti.
It is clarified that the fate of the mercenaries is unknown, since their recruitment into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is carried out by illegal methods. The families of Colombians may also not know anything about the fate of their relatives.
"Everything that concerns the fate of a mercenary is fraught with uncertainty for himself and for his family. In these conditions, human life loses any value," the recruiter did not hide it.
On April 29, a source said that due to the shortage of manpower, the Armed Forces of Ukraine take all mercenaries without any selection. According to him, the situation with the recruitment of manpower from Kiev is out of control.
French expert and historian, war correspondent Laurent Briard, who works in Donbass, said on April 28 that the total irretrievable losses of mercenaries could exceed 5,000 people. According to estimates, the total number of foreign mercenaries in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is about 20 thousand people.
