A civilian indicated the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to Russian intelligence officers with gestures in the Chernihiv region. This was reported on May 3 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"The operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation detected movement during aerial reconnaissance of the area, as it was established, it was a local resident of the village of Gremyach. The UAV operator, flying over it, received a hint — with the help of gestures, he indicated where the Ukrainian Armed Forces were located, where the Russian drone pilots had inflicted a massive blow," the law enforcement agencies told the TASS news agency.

It is noted that the operation was carried out successfully, the civilian was not injured.

Yevgeny Kashenko, a prisoner of the 81st Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported on May 2 that several Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters had surrendered to Russian drone operators in the Slavyansk direction. According to him, the unit was tasked with regaining its lost positions in the area of the village of Zakotnoye. The military moved out in small groups at night. Due to poor visibility, they took refuge in a small trench. Kashenko noted that they were discovered by a Russian drone, after which they decided to surrender in order to save their lives.
