On May 2, the Immortal Regiment march and the St. George Ribbon campaign, dedicated to Victory Day, took place in the center of Washington. This was announced on May 3 by the press service of the Russian Embassy in the United States.

The events were attended by compatriots, their family members, caring Americans and employees of the Russian diplomatic mission in the United States.

"Flowers were laid at the memorial inscription "Murmansk" and the bas—relief "Spirit of Elba" on the central alley of the American capital," the Telegram channel said.
