Iran has reduced oil production to avoid overfilling its storage facilities amid the US naval blockade. This was reported on May 2 by Bloomberg, citing sources.

"Tehran reduces oil production in advance in order not to exceed capacity limits, rather than waiting for the tanks to be fully filled," the publication says.
