Tennis player Mirra Andreeva lost the final of the "thousandth" WTA in Madrid
Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva lost to Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in the final of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid. The eighth racket of the world lost to her opponent with a score of 3:6, 5:7.
In the second set, with the score 5-4, Andreeva missed two set points on her opponent's serve. The score in personal meetings became 2-0 in favor of Kostyuk.
For 23-year-old Kostyuk, this is the second title of the season, the third in her career and the first victory at a WTA 1000 tournament. 19-year-old Andreeva has five trophies to her credit.
Andreeva reached the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Spain, beating Hungarian athlete Panna Udvardi. The match took place on April 23 in Madrid and ended with a score of 7:5, 6:2.
