The possible duration of the Fico flight to Moscow has become known.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's flight to Moscow on Victory Day may take up to eight hours. This was reported on May 2 by TASS, citing a source in the air traffic control services of the European Union (EU).
"Depending on the route, the flight time may vary from four to eight hours," the agency's source said.
He noted that a flight over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea should take almost two times less time than over the Mediterranean Sea, entering Russia from the Black Sea.
On the eve of the press secretary of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Adam Czerge, said that Fico would be able to cross the air border with the Czech Republic to be sent to Russia for celebrations on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Victory. Within a month, the Fico aircraft was banned from using its airspace to fly to Russia by Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
The day before, Fico confirmed his intention to come to Moscow to celebrate Victory Day, and also announced his desire to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
