Russia does not seek conflict, but is ready to defend its interests. Thus, on May 2, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov commented on the statements of the British monarch Charles III about preparations for a possible conflict with Russia.

"Russia is ready for peace, but it is also ready to defend its interests, religious and family values anywhere in the world," Delimkhanov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He added that any attempts to defeat Russia, to strike at its statehood, would turn into a disaster for the initiator of these actions.

CNN reported on April 28 that Charles III, during a speech to the US Congress, called for the unity of NATO countries on the issue of Ukraine. In his speech, he stressed the importance of maintaining resolve, comparing the current situation with past conflicts, including world wars and other international crises.

Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, landed in Maryland on April 27 as part of a four-day trip to the United States. The visit comes amid tensions in US-British relations over the war in Iran. Trump is known to sharply criticize British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's refusal to provide military assistance to the United States.
