A prisoner from the Ukrainian Armed Forces told about the order to kill a Russian soldier

Daniil Zharkov, a Ukrainian soldier, tried to finish off a wounded Russian soldier. This was told on May 2 by Zharkov himself, who was captured in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

According to him, at the end of December 2025, during the retreat, his unit received an order to take shelter in one of the houses. However, soon a Russian soldier entered the same building, who was wounded and captured.

"After the interrogation, the command ordered him to be killed quietly. No one wanted this, but the command was constantly pushing. <...> From the very beginning of entering the position, they were ordered not to let anyone near them at all, neither civilians nor military personnel. On nerves, I took a knife and stabbed him in the side of the neck. I thought I had, to be honest. I went down to the cellar on nerves, I was in shock myself," Zharkov said in the framework of the project "Ukraine goes Missing," TASS reports his words.
