The hard landing of the Mi-8 helicopter in the Komi Republic. What is known
On May 1, a passenger helicopter Mi-8 of Yeltsovka Airlines made a hard landing in the city of Usinsk in the Komi Republic. According to the latest information, there were 24 people on board: 21 passengers and three crew members. As a result of the incident, 10 people were injured, but no one died. The circumstances of the incident
The incident occurred in Usinsk around 3:45 p.m. on May 1. The helicopter, which was supposed to deliver shift workers to the Nenets Autonomous District, fell on its side during takeoff from the site. According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Komi Republic, the aircraft was seriously damaged as a result of the incident.
Victims
10 people were injured during the hard landing. According to the Komi Ministry of Health, as a result of the incident, two victims received moderate injuries, and eight more people suffered minor injuries. All the victims were taken to the emergency department of the Usinsk Central district hospital, where, after a medical examination, a decision will be made on their hospitalization. The remaining passengers, according to preliminary data, refused to be hospitalized.
The reaction of the authorities
The Pechora Transport Prosecutor's Office has organized an inspection of the implementation of flight safety legislation. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on violations of the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport (art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Units of the Usinsk fire and Rescue garrison are working at the scene.
The head of the municipality, Nikolai Takaev, confirmed in his Telegram channel that the victims had been avoided: "Fortunately, no one died. 10 people were injured, they are receiving the necessary assistance."
