The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) drank urine due to poor food and water supplies. This was announced on May 1 by Vladimir Linnik, a prisoner of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, the supply was irregular — once every few days, a limited amount of food and water was dropped from drones. He noted that some of the cargo was damaged during the discharge.

"There is no water, we drank urine," the prisoner said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On April 25, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that Ukrainian militants of the 81st separate airborne assault brigade, stationed east of Slavyansk, were left without food and medical care. It was noted that the soldiers began to spread information about their critical condition online after the scandal with the publication of photographs of emaciated soldiers of one of the Armed Forces brigades.
