The Israeli authorities have handed over to the United Arab Emirates the latest laser system for repelling attacks from Iran using missiles and drones from Iran. This was reported on April 30 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.

"Israel has urgently transferred to the UAE a laser system to repel Iranian missiles," the newspaper reports.

It is specified that the Spectro lightweight surveillance system transferred by the UAE allows detecting enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a distance of up to 20 km.

The UAE banned its citizens from visiting Iran, Lebanon and Iraq on the same day amid the crisis in the Middle East. It is noted that citizens of the country in Iran, Lebanon and Iraq are urged to contact their native country as part of precautionary measures. The UAE Foreign Ministry did not inform about the reasons for the decision.
