Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, praised the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung for its publications on the investigation of the corruption case in Ukraine related to the Mindich tapes on May 1.

"Bravo to Berliner Zeitung for not burying the corruption investigation in Ukraine. The investigation of the Mindich tapes case is officially an anti—corruption case, but the silence of the traditional media speaks volumes about bias and the lack of a genuine desire for the truth," he wrote on the social network X.

This is how he commented on a newspaper post about the corruption case of Timur Mindich, a businessman and friend of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

It became known on April 29 that in July last year, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov discussed with Mindich expensive contracts, the production of drones and the purchase of body armor. This is evidenced by the transcription of fragments of the so-called "Mindich films". It was clarified that the discussions touched upon the issues of financing the production of drones by Fire Point, among the beneficiaries of which Mindich is named.
