In Russia, a ban on the export of gold bars with a total weight of more than 100 g came into force on May 1, 2026. The relevant decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information on April 25.
"To establish from May 1, 2026 a ban on the export from the Russian Federation by individuals, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs of refined gold bars with a total weight of more than 100 g," the document says.
