Import of dual-use foreign satellite terminals has been restricted in Russia
The Russian government has imposed restrictions on the import of equipment for receiving and transmitting signals from foreign satellites, including dual-use equipment. This is stated in the relevant document, which was published on April 30 on the website of the official legal acts of the Russian Federation.
"To establish that it is prohibited to import into the Russian Federation radio—electronic devices designed to transmit and (or) receive radio waves from space communications facilities (communications satellites, including dual-use) of foreign countries, according to the list according to the annex, which do not have a decision of the state Commission on radio frequencies on the allocation of radio frequency bands," the document says.
