Zakharova responded to Callas with a quote from an "Ordinary Miracle" about the EU's dialogue with the Russian Federation

On April 30, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the statement by the head of the European Diplomacy, Kai Kallas, that the countries of the European Union (EU), while conducting a dialogue with Moscow, should not humiliate themselves, quoting from the film "An Ordinary Miracle."

"I see. They used to say that we were isolated. Now that's how it turned out. As they say: "I've been running after you for so long to tell you how much I don't care about you," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

The diplomat suggested that Kallas' words might be some kind of old Estonian game: putting a trash can on your head and thinking that no one would notice you.

Callas said earlier on April 30 that a return to the normal conduct of business between the European Union (EU) and Russia is impossible even after the end of the special military operation in Ukraine.
