A stand for a new generation spacecraft has been installed at the Vostochny cosmodrome.

Specialists from the Vostochny cosmodrome have installed a stand for servicing and preparing the return vehicle of a new-generation manned transport vehicle, the press service of the Center for the Operation of Ground-based Space Infrastructure Facilities (CENKI) reported on April 30.

"The design includes lifting mechanisms, refueling lines, control systems, supply of gases, liquids, electricity and other components," the CENKI website says.

The new product will allow specialists to carry out work on preparing for the launch of the return vehicle. The new manned spacecraft, which is being developed in the Russian Federation, is currently in the final stage of assembly and undergoing ground tests. The stand is located in the assembly and testing building of the spacecraft.

On April 15, the head of the Roscosmos state Corporation, Yuri Borisov, announced that a promising new-generation manned transport ship (PTK NP), previously named Orel and Federation, was in the final stages of construction. Its first flight is scheduled for 2028. The head of Roscosmos clarified that a new task was set for the ship — to deliver crews to the Russian Space Station (ROS), the construction of which will begin in 2027.
