Domestic Amberauto A5 sedans have almost ceased to be sold in the Russian Federation
Sales of Amberauto A5 electric sedans in Russia have practically stopped. This was reported on April 30 by the Chinese Cars portal in its Telegram channel with reference to the statistics of car registrations from Autostat Info.
So, according to these data, in March 2026, only one Amberauto A5 sedan was registered in the country. Four such cars were registered in January, and nine in February.
At the same time, the volume of sales of the model in October 2025 alone amounted to 528 cars, the note says. According to the analytical agency Autostat, at the end of last year, the Amberauto A5 became the bestseller in the segment of electric vehicles in Russia, ahead of the Evolute, Avatr, Zeekr and others models.
Currently, the A5 model is offered in two trim levels with a 160-horsepower engine and a battery with a capacity of 63.1 kWh. Prices, including state subsidies, are 2.23 million and 3.34 million rubles, respectively. The Amberauto A5 electric sedan is manufactured at the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant as part of technological cooperation with a foreign partner and is renamed the Chinese JMEV Yi.
At the end of last year, it was reported that in 2026, the domestic brand Amberauto plans to introduce two new models in Russia — the A7 crossover and the A3 hatchback.
Earlier, on April 23, it was reported that Kama announced the launch of open pre-sales of the new Russian electric car Atom. The opportunity to book a car guarantees its receipt in 2026. The total cost of the car is 3.98 million rubles.
