The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation pointed to the displacement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the Russian army further and further from the state border

The liberated village of Korchakovka in the Sumy region was the second settlement connected to the system of strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the advance of the North group of forces. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on April 30.

The ministry clarified that motorized infantry entered the village and gained a foothold in it under the cover of artillery and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Russian military personnel destroyed the enemy's firing positions and drove the Ukrainian formations out of the settlement. Currently, the fighters have begun to clean up buildings and basements.

"The active advance of the North group of forces is pushing the enemy further and further away from the state border. The village of Korchakovka, Sumy region, has become the second settlement included in the unified system of fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this sector of the front," the report says.

Units of the North group are attacking simultaneously in several directions. These actions are aimed at creating a security zone in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The troops are moving forward every day, which makes it possible to ensure the protection of civilians in the border areas.

The new ground control system allows drones to operate at a distance of up to 70 kilometers and protects operators from detection.

On April 30, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian military had established control over the settlements of Korchakovka in the Sumy region and Novoaleksandrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). According to the ministry, the Ukrainian army lost seven vehicles, two armored combat vehicles, a RADA RPS-42 counterbattery warfare station and more than 240 militants.
