Sobyanin announced the opening of the fountain season in Moscow

The fountain season has opened in Moscow. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his channel in the Maks messenger.

"There are hundreds of fountains in Moscow: dry, semi—dry, floating, musical, and light—dynamic," Sobyanin recalled. Before the launch, specialists repaired communications, put pumping stations and hydraulics in order, rinsed the bowls and filled them with water, the head of the capital said.

This year, a new fountain with an area of 3.5 thousand square meters was launched on the central Luzhniki Square. In winter, there was an ice rink in its place, Sobyanin said. The water in it overflows over the edges, and in the evenings there will be light and music shows.

In addition, in 2025, the main fountain in Sokolniki Park was renovated in Moscow, the Music of Glory fountain complex in Kuzminki and the dry fountain in Dubrava Park in Kurkin were repaired, the mayor noted. A new light-dynamic complex in the form of a sailing boat has appeared at the Ivanovo Ponds.
