A project to clear the Tura River is being prepared in Tyumen

The Tyumen authorities decided to clean up the Tura River from garbage in the city. The administration is looking for a company that will prepare a corresponding project.

The customer of the work is the regional research and production center Tyumengeomonitoring.It is necessary to clear a section of about 5 km long from the mouth of the Tyumenka River to Melnikaite Street from garbage.

The contractor is required to present different work options and choose the most economically sound solution. The work will be funded from the federal budget under the Russian Water program.

The purchase card says that the initial cost of the work is 6.1 million rubles. Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until May 15th. The project needs to be prepared by autumn, and then the authorities will move on to the practical part.

It is also necessary that the project has passed a state examination and received a positive conclusion. They won't accept him without it.

The <url> news agency clarifies that the Tour was included in the federal program only on the third attempt. Thanks to this, financing was provided, and work was scheduled for 2026. Environmentalists have repeatedly stated that the river is of strategic importance for the city's water supply. Its shallowing has been one of the main problems in recent years.

Earlier, local historian Alexander Petrushin expressed the opinion that one of the main reasons for the shallowing of the Tura River in Tyumen is the active development of the coastal territory. According to the expert, every summer the opposite shore itself is slightly cleared of logs, but they need to be removed. Petrushin also called for attention to be paid to the fact that high-rise buildings will "take away" a lot of water.
