Journalist Jacobs: Mudrik was disqualified for four years because of meldonium
Ukrainian football player Mikhail Mudrik received the maximum punishment in the case of doping and was suspended from professional games for 4 years by the decision of the Football Association of England (FA). This was announced on April 29 by British journalist Ben Jacobs.
"The Football Association of England has disqualified the Chelsea winger for four years for violating anti-doping rules, which is the maximum penalty," the journalist said on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
He added that Mudrik had appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the association's decision. According to Jacobs, the parties are currently exchanging written statements, and a hearing date has not yet been set.
On February 12, the press service of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) reported that Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladislav Geraskevich was disqualified from the Olympic Games in Milan for using a banned helmet. On the morning of February 12, IOC President Kirsty Coventry spoke with Geraskevich, who "explained the IOC's position to him for the last time." The Ukrainian again refused to change his helmet, which led to disqualification.
