Zelensky spoke about the request of the West not to strike at energy facilities
Western partners asked Ukraine not to strike energy facilities in Russia in the context of the crisis in the Middle East, but Kiev did not agree with this position. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on April 29.
"We have received messages from partners that, because of this problem in the Middle East, it may not be worth attacking some infrastructure, the energy infrastructure in Russia. And, of course, I said no," Zelensky said in an interview with Newsmax.
Zelensky noted that no one had offered Ukraine an energy truce, but Kiev was open to it.
In the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian edition "Country.ua" on April 27 reported that Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws on the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine until August 2. According to the publication, they may be considered as early as this week.
