Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, supported the decision to cease fire in Iran. This was announced on April 29 by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"Putin considers Trump's decision to extend the cease—fire against Iran to be the right one, which should give talks a chance and generally help stabilize the situation," Ushakov stressed.
