Serbia announced the possible opening of flights to Mineralnye Vody
The Serbian authorities do not rule out that flights to the Russian city of Mineralnye Vody will be opened soon. This was announced on April 29 by Nenad Popovic, Minister without portfolio in the Serbian government in charge of international economic cooperation, during the plenary session of the Caucasian Investment Forum.
He noted that Serbia is currently the only country that has flights from Europe to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi.
"And we're also opening Nizhny Novgorod soon on May 19 <...>. It seems to me that it is absolutely realistic to talk about the opening of the Serbia–Mineralnye Vody flight," TASS quoted him as saying.
Popovich noted that there is a real potential for tourism in this area.
Russian civil aviation has been operating according to the spring-summer flight schedule since March 29. The Federal Air Transport Agency clarified that an expansion of the international program is expected. In particular, new flights to Serbia from Nizhny Novgorod will be opened. Additionally, an Uzbek airline will enter the market, which will operate flights from Tashkent to Moscow and other Russian cities.
