A tourist residence permit (residence permit) has become significantly more expensive for Russians in Turkey. This was announced on April 29 by lawyers involved in the paperwork.

An annual permit will now cost at least $620. The fee consists of two parts: the fee for making the card (964 lira, about 1600 rubles) and the fee for the residence permit itself. It was the last part that underwent drastic changes.

So, if at the end of 2024 Russians paid 1,875 liras for the duty, and by January 2025 the amount exceeded 2,000 liras, now these figures have changed dramatically.

Lawyers note that the new amounts are already being displayed in the applicants' questionnaires. According to them, a two-year residence permit for an adult has risen in price from 6.5 thousand to almost 58 thousand lira (about 96.3 thousand rubles).

"For one year — more than 28 thousand liras instead of 2 thousand," the experts emphasized in an interview for RIA Novosti.

At the same time, for minors, a residence permit will cost about 29.4 thousand liras (about 48.8 thousand rubles).

On February 21, the Estonian television and radio company ERR announced that Estonia would strengthen control over the granting of residence permits to citizens of Russia and Belarus. The reason for the review was the initiative of MEP Jana Toom, who became interested in how people with an "unclear past" get the right to temporary residence in Estonia.
