Users of the Odnoklassniki social network got the opportunity to honor the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) through the free mini-application "Victory Flower". The service allows you to virtually lay a bouquet of flowers at memorials in 25 cities.

In 2026, the geography of the project expanded: 15 new settlements from Sevastopol to Vladivostok joined it. In addition to the Russian regions, memorable places in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Germany and Belarus are involved in the campaign. The application also contains stories about memorials prepared by specialists of the Russian Military Historical Society.

After selecting a memorial from the list and clicking the "Lay flowers" button, the user receives a video recording of the process, which shows the laying of a real flower on his behalf.

On April 28, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that military personnel of higher military educational institutions of all types and branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will march through Red Square in Moscow during the Victory Day parade on May 9. Planes of Russian aerobatic teams will fly as part of the aviation part of the event. The parade will end with a performance by Su-25 attack aircraft pilots, who will paint the Moscow sky in the colors of the Russian flag.
