Residents of Yakutia were warned about the storm wind

Gale force winds are forecast for some areas of Yakutia on Wednesday, April 29. In case of gusts, its speed will reach 20 m/s.

According to IA YakutiaMedia with reference to the YAUGMS, in the Anabar, Bulunsky and Zhigansky districts the wind will be from the south, and in the Lena region — from the west. Local residents should take precautions and keep the weather services updated.

No precipitation is expected in Yakutsk, the wind will blow at speeds up to 8 m/s, and the thermometer will rise to +8 degrees during the daytime.

Earlier, Marina Makarova, a leading employee of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, reported that 90 mm of precipitation fell in April 2026 — with this indicator, the month could become one of the most abundant in terms of precipitation in history. At the same time, April 1986 turned out to be the wettest month, when 98 mm of precipitation fell.
