NATO reconnaissance drone sent a distress signal over the Black Sea
A reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle of one of the NATO countries, the RQ-4D Phoenix, sent a distress signal over the Black Sea during a flight mission. This was reported on April 29 by RIA Novosti with reference to flight data.
As of 11:15 Moscow time, the drone signaled malfunctions in the radio equipment and headed west towards Romania and Bulgaria, members of the North Atlantic Alliance.
It is noted that the drone of the Italian Air Force Northrop Grumman RQ-4D Phoenix took off from the Sigonella base on the island of Sicily at about 7:00 Moscow time on April 29 and reached the Black Sea at about 10:00 Moscow time.
On the same day, an object similar to a drone fell in western Kazakhstan, and the police are conducting verification measures. It is noted that the object was discovered outside the territory of the settlement.
